Visionary

The Visionary building, at the junction of the busy Argentinská and Plynárenská streets in Prague's Holešovice district, has completed this prominent intersection and become the symbolic northern gateway to the extensive Bubny – Zátory transformation area.

The office building, with a capacity of 25,000 m2 of gross floor area, has a richly sculpted volume with an accentuated corner facing Argentinská Street. Thanks to its H-shaped floor plan, the building creates a landscaped amenity area at ground level that extends into the wider public space.

The façade facing Plynární Street is supplemented, flush with the building line, by a suspended steel structure of accessible terraces that links the two volumes into a single compact block. To create visual continuity with the neighbouring façades and the impression of a solid volume, the same elements as on the surrounding façades are applied to the wall – continuous horizontal cornices and vertical glass louvres.

The building's functional programme is primarily office use, complemented at ground level by retail units, a restaurant and a nursery school. On the site of the second construction phase, which will in the future close the structure into a compact urban block, a landscaped park has been created.
